TEST2r

TEST2r was developed as an early screener for children in danger of experiencing reading difficulties by Dr. Pauline Cogan in the course of her doctoral research in Trinity College, Dublin.

TEST2r is a systemic approach to formative assessment and intervention.  It is made up of a rapid screening test, suitable for use in classrooms with five and six year olds, to check for appropriate development in the major areas necessary for literacy acquisition.  For children who perform poorly on the screening test there is a deeper diagnostic test for use by learning support teachers.  Furthermore TEST2r offers intervention support to teachers.  Currently this support is provided through this web-resource which contains  both information and links to web sites which offer a variety of ideas and resources for intervention.
