Motor Speed Domain

The child's capacity in the Motor Speed Domain is assessed by two tasks from the TEST2r battery.
Task 5 - RAN: Digits
Task 17 - RAN: Objects

Both RAN Digits and RAN Objects are tasks that involve a wide range of skills.  They relate to Long-Term Memory and the cognitive processes involved in recalling names and categories.  They measure the speed of lexical access that the child is capable of, and as such it must be ensured that the child has the necessary vocabulary to complete the task.  Thus the first step in intervention in this domain may lie in vocabulary building.
