Visual-Verbal Skills

TEST2r contains four distinct tasks that explore the child's ability in the Visual-Verbal Domain.
  • Task 1 - Letter Knowledge: Upper and Lower Case
  • Task 6 - Letter Sound Array
  • Task 7 - Alliteration
  • Task 8 - Alliteration Oddity

Visual Verbal Interventions

A wide range of interventions are available for different facets of the visual-verbal domain.  It is important to assess where the child's capabilities currently lie.  Some children may still be in the pre-verbal stage of sound recognition, and for them very basic sound recognition interventions will enable them to develop their listening and verbal skills prior to attempting the more difficult letter knowledge and sound areas.  More targeted interventions are discussed on the page relating to each individual task.
